ANNA You better kill me nowBecause I will never let you get away

GIOVANNI Silly girl, stop your complainingYou got everything you wanted here today

LEPORELLO I see nothing! I know nothing!Bupkis, nada, zero, zilch

ANNA You deceived me—and yes, I was foolish

Giovanni manages to get the sword from Anna and tosses it aside.

You seduced me with your liesI know who you areYou are the devil in disguise

GIOVANNI Who do you think that you are fooling?You had passion in your eyesYes, I felt the sweetness of your kiss

ANNA Someone help me stop this man

GIOVANNI Shut your mouth and stop this screaming

Giovanni embraces Anna from behind. She momentarily freezes but does not resist.

ANNA What a bastard!

GIOVANNI Foolish woman. Like the others

ANNA What a bastard

LEPORELLO Not my circus, not my monkeysI’m just here for vegan snacks

Getting control of herself, Anna pulls a knife from her garter and once again confronts Giovanni.

ANNA You should have killed me

GIOVANNI Such theatrics!

ANNA I’m not joking, and I promise you one thing

GIOVANNI You are a woman, and you only want one thing

LEPORELLO La, la, la, laI can’t hear you

ANNA If you don't kill me while you still have half a chance—

GIOVANNI Your mouth says no, and yet your body wants to dance

ANNA I won't rest until I’m certain who you areI will hunt you down and find youI will find out who you are

Giovanni smacks the knife from Anna’s hands and pulls her in close. Again, she does not resist.

GIOVANNI I did not hear you complain, loveWhen you brought me to your bed

LEPORELLO Propriety says in polite societyA man must help the damsel categoricallyWell, that man is not me

ANNA You deceived me

GIOVANNI You enjoyed it

ANNA Such a liar!

GIOVANNI Tell the truth now!

LEPORELLO Now, I am bound by dutySo I cannot help this beauty Or I would

ANNA Someone help me

GIOVANNI No regrets, love

LEPORELLO Would that I couldSomeone should help her

ANNA I’ll hunt you down and I will find out who you areYou may escape, but you will never get away
